Kritter’s Crumble is a natural home for reptiles, birds and small animals of all shapes and sizes. It is suitable for all types of lizards, turtles, frogs, rabbits, rodents, arachnids, nesting birds and other small animals. Kritter's Crumble makes a fine nesting substrate for lizards and birds.


Uniform in texture, coir is a completely homogenous material composed of millions of capillary micro-sponges that absorb and retain both moisture and odour. It is widely used throughout the horticultural, industrial absorbent and bio filter industries.


Kritter’s Crumble is made from uniquely processed grains of coconut husk, an organic, sustainable resource. Coconut husk has millions of naturally occurring micro-sponges that are super-absorbent, leach-resistant and odour-eliminating. Coconut is a natural, renewable resource that does not require fertilisers or pesticides - it needs only rainfall to grow. Kritter’s Crumble involves no cutting down of trees, no mining the earth and no agricultural crop production. It has the smallest carbon paw print of any pet bedding product.


Kritter’s Crumble is provided in recyclable Smart-Bag packaging. Smart-Bags leave no empty space within the bag. Compared with other pet beddings this could mean up to 25% more product in the same comparable bag size.


The intrinsic value of Kritter’s Crumble continues after initial intended use as a litter. The end user can recycle the used litter, with solid waste removed, in their own garden (as water saving soil conditioner) or compost bin. The used litter continues to be beneficial without further transportation, reprocessing, or increase to the product’s carbon footprint.

    • NZ Wide Delivery
      Place an order over $79 and we'll send it to you for free! Almost anywhere in NZ, including rural. If you'd like to add a signature to your order you can add this on for $2. Please note, if you are based on Great Barrier Island, and your order cannot fit in a satchel a bulky freight charge may occur.
      Orders under $78.99 incur a flat rate shipping cost of $5.90. If you would like to add a signature to your shipping the flat rate shipping cost will be $7.90

      If you order before 12pm Monday to Friday your order will be dispatched the same day. We are based on beautiful Waiheke Island, although it's not often our NZ wide customers know this as our delivery times are so fast! If you place your order before 1pm Monday to Friday and are based in Auckland or the North Island delivery is overnight to two working days. South Island and some Rural Addresses over to three working days. 

      If your order is small and can fit in a satchel and placed before 12pm it will likely reach you overnight on the next working day across the country.

      Please note we are currently unable to deliver outside New Zealand. We are also unable to deliver to PO boxes.

      Bulky orders under $78.99 may incur an additional freight charge of $10. We may contact you before shipping your order to discuss this.

      Waiheke Hand Delivery

      All Waiheke orders are hand delivered by the team here at Pet Connect and for free, no matter where you live on the island or what you buy. Waiheke orders placed Mon - Fri before 11am will be delivered *same day.

      *(Unless anything unforeseen occurred. We're a small team so if one of us is ill we may not be able to complete orders till the following day, this is rare although a possibility.)

      Click and Collect (Waiheke customers)

      If you have placed your order before 9am Mon- Fri, it will be available for you to pick up from our retail premise. If you placed your order after 9am it will be available to pick up the following business day. This is due to a portion of our stock being stored at another premise. Please provide your contact number and we make contact when your order is ready to collect.
