Little Green Dog

At Little Green Dog, we believe in showing our Earth the same love and care we show our fur kids, and we’re starting with poop bags. For years I had been buying big name biodegradable poop bags, thinking I was being green. But when I started looking into what ‘biodegradable’ actually meant, I realised that something didn’t add up and that not all eco poop bags were created equal!

There’s a great deal of confusion (sometimes intentionally so) regarding terminology such as compostable, biodegradable, oxo-degradable, and degradable. Long story short: most of those ‘biodegradable’ poop bags aren’t environmentally friendly at all. They're most often just polyethylene plastic blended with degradable additive. The additive breaks apart, but tiny bits of microplastic contaminates usually remain.

It’s a point of pride for us at Little Green Dog that we have nothing to hide with our 100% home compostable poop bags. Our plant-derived alternative is made from PLA, PBAT, cornstarch, and glycerin. That’s it: a fully biodegradable, 100%-home compostable material. so you can clean up after your pup without sh*tting on the environment. Woof.
